Christopher Newport University is a 4-year university in Newport News (20 minutes from Williamsburg) with state-of-the-art buildings, a 260-acre campus and the premier art facility in Newport News, the Ferguson Center. Designed by the renowned firm of I. M. Pei, The Ferguson Center has become the dominant cultural organization in the area.
