Nursing RN’s

RN – Registered Nurse (FT/PRN) or LPN (PRN)

The Registered Nurse (Household Nurse)delivers, coordinates, evaluates and is accountable for the total nursing services for household residents during assigned shifts. The Household Nurse performs nursing functions that require medication administration, observing residents’ condition and communicating them to the clinical supervisor or physician, and treatments; and also takes part in Household activities with and for residents. Work is performed according to the community’s policies and procedures within the scope of practice of the Virginia Board of Nursing guidelines and in a safe and efficient manner. The job available is for Full Time & PRN.

Household Nurse RN (Full Time 12 hrs shift 7A-7P)

The Charge Nurse is responsible for the well being and nursing care of all residents assigned to him or her during the shift. Reporting to the Supervisor, he or she carries out physician’s orders, assesses residents and notes any changes in condition, distributes and charts medications, distributes narcotics and manages the narcotic inventory, supervises the staff of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), and responds immediately to emergencies. He or she acts as a role model and effective team member and is personally committed to enhance the lives of each resident by providing the highest quality of life possible.

Certified Nursing Assistant

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) helps the professional nursing staff provide nursing care to residents in the areas of daily hygiene, toileting, feeding, moving safely to activities or functions, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the resident’s room. Reporting to the Charge Nurse, he or she provides encouragement and assistance to motivate residents to achieve their maximum level of independence.

Support Staff

Household Housekeeper – 16 hours weekly

Our community cares for seniors through a “household model,” which is characterized by small groups of approximately 14-22 residents served by a self-directed team with versatile roles. Team members get to know the residents personally, creating an atmosphere of “home,” which provides residents with an enhanced sense of health and well-being. With versatile roles, team members usually work a portion of their time in their primary functional role and their remaining time in versatile roles—recreation, dining, housekeeping, social services—in order to meet the residents’ needs when they occur. Each household develops a strong sense of community that provides everyone—residents, family and household team members—with opportunities for personal growth.

Medication Aide

Working under direct supervision, the Medication Aide performs duties following accepted nursing practices to provide the highest quality of resident care during the 11:00pm-7:00 am shift. He or she provides complete care for assigned residents by dispensing medications and providing personal care under the direction of licensed personnel on duty following all established procedures and regulatory guidelines…

Line Cook

The Line Cook prepares meals following planned menus that meet the dietary requirements for all residents and ensures the cleanliness, safety, organization, and maintenance of the kitchen so that it is in full compliance with the standards and regulations of the Department of Health, state and federal licensing/regulations/mandates, and OSHA. Reporting to the Chef, he or she helps order food and supplies, and ensure proper, safe storage of food/supplies.

Dishwasher

The Kitchen Utility Dishwasher ideal Kitchen Utility Worker has a high school diploma or GED, maintains excellent sanitary practices, has outstanding interpersonal skills, and has a genuine interest in serving the elderly and disabled.
