There’s no better way to get a feel for the congenial community, innovative programming and top-notch facilities of WindsorMeade of Williamsburg than to read the personal stories of our current residents. The testimonials below will give you an intimate glimpse into the place so many call home.
From Marylou and Scott Wagner…
We really enjoy our freedom to do what we want with our free time. We find that we have lots of options in the varied programs offered by WindsorMeade. In fact we believe that we are busier now than when we lived in our own home. We have attended concerts and plays, have had a great dinner at a local restored plantation, and have gone on a number of local and overnight trips sponsored by WindsorMeade. Moreover, we enjoy the closeness to the interesting places in the Virginia historic triangle.
Meeting our neighbors has been a highlight of our move. The residents of WindsorMeade are a congenial group with many varied interests. They are very helpful and supportive of everyone in the community.
We have three grown children and seven grandchildren, and they have all visited us here and have used our guest rooms for overnight stays. The highlight of our family year is our annual gathering of the whole family at the beach for a week of fun.
We also like living in this area with fairly mild weather year round and get to enjoy the glory and color of the four seasons in Williamsburg.
From Heather and Jim Williams…
What do we enjoy most about our life right now? Not having to cook! Also, sailing, and exploring Williamsburg and the prime outlet discount stores.
We find WindsorMeade residents to be exceptionally friendly and thoughtful. One evening we had great fun attending a special dinner buffet in the lovely Bistro and sharing a large table with other residents who arrived at the same time. From there our ‘happen-stance’ group attended a William and Mary College choral group concert in the Windsor Hall Kensington Room — a great time enjoyed by all.
From Bobbe Redding…
What attracted me most to WindsorMeade was the emphasis from the very beginning of the importance of wellness and exercise. Also, the very convenient location adjacent to excellent shops and restaurants within walking or bicycling distance!
Off campus, I enjoy volunteering at Colonial Williamsburg, the College of William and Mary (my Alma Mater), and Bruton Parish Church, and participating in community activities (theater, concerts, lectures) and the Christopher Wren Association (senior learning programs).
I have especially enjoyed the opportunity of making friends at WindsorMeade and sharing in the special activities sponsored by the community such as the “Tapas Night” in the main dining room. A truly delightful experience!
